Michael Joe Cannon praised God, his parents (Melba and Joe Bob Cannon) and Calhoun City for making him what he is today during a speech to the Calhoun City Chamber Tuesday at lunch.
"I'm proud to be from Calhoun City," Cannon said. "I grew up here and come back quite often and when that time comes, I'll be buried here in Calhoun City."
